From its origins as an economics training institution after national reunification, UEH has grown into a pioneering multidisciplinary university with a strong sustainability orientation, ranked among the Top 136 universities in Asia and the Top 501–600 globally according to THE rankings. The 49-year milestone marks an opportunity to honor contributions across generations and reaffirm the university’s commitment to achieving its strategic goals for the 2025–2030 period, aiming for the Top 250 in Asia by 2030 and the Top 100 by 2045. The event also showcased the collective spirit of “Our Shared Future,” reflecting UEH’s dedication to innovation, international integration, and sustainable development, while strengthening its position in the regional and global higher education landscape.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Tú Anh Trinh was reappointed as Director of the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM) for the 2025–2030 term. Over the first five years under her leadership and forward-thinking vision, ISCM has achieved remarkable milestones: being recognized as one of the four most outstanding units of UEH in 2024, expanding its network of international partners, and implementing high-quality academic programs and research projects. These efforts have contributed greatly to enhancing the global academic standing of UEH and CTD. ISCM extends heartfelt congratulations to Assoc.
