[Recap] Ha Giang Explore Trip 2026: Where Fieldwork Meets Team Spirit
Driven by a passion for lifelong learning and a desire to strengthen internal bonds, the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM) - UEH University organized its annual trip in Ha Giang from April 9th to 13th, 2026. It was a 4-day, 3-night journey filled with laughter, profound cultural experiences, and unforgettable bonding moments.
DAY 1: THE BEGINNING AT MILESTONE 0KM
Immediately upon arriving at the nation's frontier, our first stop was the legendary Milestone 0km. Here, the "ISCM family" captured our first group photo, marking our presence in the Northeast. The radiant smiles on everyone’s faces seemed to wash away the fatigue of the long flight from Ho Chi Minh City.

In the evening, the team gathered for a cozy dinner at the homestay, enjoying local specialties and heartfelt conversations. These intimate moments allowed everyone to reconnect, leaving behind daily worries to recharge for the adventures ahead.

DAY 2: CULTURAL IMMERSION AND LOCAL CONNECTION
Day two focused on cultural discovery and community engagement. The team visited Tung Vai Ethnic Boarding Primary School to learn about the living and learning conditions of highland students. A group photo with the teachers here stands as a beautiful and meaningful memory for all ISCM members.

Next, we experienced the traditional art of making "Banh Day" (sticky rice cake) with a local family. Far beyond just observing, ISCM members directly participated in the process—from pounding the dough to stuffing them with "nho nhe" beans or salted peanuts. The rhythmic pounding and the enthusiastic guidance from locals created an atmosphere of pure joy and solidarity.

To wrap up the day, we wandered through the night market. The vibrant stalls, bustling atmosphere, and tantalizing street food provided a perfect space for relaxation and cultural exploration.

DAY 3: FROM ANCIENT TRADITIONS TO MAJESTIC NATURE
Our third day began with the art of tea. The team visited a local workshop to learn about the intricate "tea rolling" process that gives the leaves their signature curl.

By noon, we reached a traditional craft village. We witnessed the meticulous production of handmade goods, from flax weaving and "Giay Ban" (traditional paper) making to blacksmithing. Observing the weathered yet incredibly skillful hands of the elderly artisans, we truly understood the devotion required to preserve these crafts. Each piece is more than just an object; it is a soulful, authentic masterpiece that no machine could ever replicate.

In the afternoon, ISCM explored the majestic nature of Ha Giang at Nai Waterfall. The soothing sound of flowing water and the pristine air offered a sense of absolute peace and tranquility.

On our final night, ISCM enjoyed an evening of graceful traditional dances and joined in the "Nhảy Sạp" (bamboo dance) with the locals. The sight of everyone smiling together in one frame was the perfect, joyful note to conclude a memorable journey.

DAY 4: CLOSING A REMARKABLE JOURNEY
No trip to Ha Giang is complete without visiting Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate, the "million-dollar view" of the limestone peaks. From this vantage point, the team marveled at the breathtaking vastness of nature.

The photo at Heaven’s Gate serves as a beautiful finale to a journey filled with memories, lessons, and unbreakable bonds. The Ha Giang Explore trip 2026 was more than just a typical tour; it was a profound cultural immersion. We return with spirits fully recharged by the mountain energy, ready to break through and excel in the projects ahead.
