ISCM Brings Lunar New Year Spirit to Cho Ray Hospital Through the 2026 Flower Street Charity Project
From December 9, 2025 to February 6, 2026, within the 2026 framework of the Glocal Innovation for Sustainable Living event series, the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM) – University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with the Cho Ray Hospital, designed, supervised the construction, and organized the Cho Ray Hospital Flower Street 2026.

This meaningful annual activity has become a special cultural highlight at Cho Ray Hospital. The year 2026 marks the third consecutive year ISCM has partnered with the hospital, contributing to the creation of a modern and civilized Spring Flower Street – Connecting and Sharing Tet, with the aim of bringing the warmth of the traditional Lunar New Year to patients and healthcare workers who must remain at the hospital during the Year of the Horse Lunar New Year 2026.
Over nearly two months, from concept design to construction, students from the Smart Urban Architecture and Design Program had the opportunity to transform their creative ideas into real-life spatial installations. The project received warm appreciation from patients, their families, and medical staff.
The 2026 Flower Street is themed “Seamless Homeland – Welcoming the Era of Innovation”, featuring three main thematic zones:
“Vietnam – One Home”: Recreating traditional Tet cultural values while promoting the spirit of unity, connection, and compassion.
“Intersections”: Representing Vietnam’s transformation and dynamic development in the new era.
“Welcoming the Era of Innovation”: Honoring modern medical achievements and highlighting Cho Ray Hospital’s pioneering role in technological innovation and digital transformation.

Alongside traditional Tet imagery, major national milestones of the past year were showcased through symbolic installations, including a floral map of Vietnam representing 34 provinces and cities. The nation’s digital transformation, particularly within the healthcare sector and Cho Ray Hospital, was creatively illustrated through installations featuring artificial intelligence, surgical robots, QR-code information systems, and interactive New Year greeting messages.
Beyond creating a festive and comforting environment for patients and medical staff, this journey represents an important milestone for ISCM in promoting positive values toward the development of smart, humane, and sustainable urban communities.
Let us revisit the memorable moments captured throughout this meaningful journey – a journey marking the first steps toward creating positive and sustainable impacts for society.
