With over a decade of international experience, Hoàng Lê Nam Hải works at the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and technology—where built form meets digital intelligence.
From 10-hectare urban districts to nearly 40-story towers, his portfolio spans multiple geographies and scales. But behind every project lies the same ambition: to design systems that are resilient, inclusive, and fundamentally human.
He holds dual Master’s degrees in Architecture from top European institutions, including Tampere University of Technology (Finland), where he focused on environmental intelligence, urban morphology, and computational design. His work is where data meets dignity.
“Housing is not a product—it’s infrastructure for equity, care, and collective resilience.” Hai's research reimagines housing as a right, not a market exception. He explores how urban simulation, scenario modeling, and data-driven design can reshape how cities address access, adaptability, and affordability.
He is the creator of NTEP – Night Time Economy Platform, a forward-looking framework that activates the latent potential of cities after dark. NTEP brings together cultural economy, spatial programming, and housing access to envision 24-hour cities that work for everyone.
Technically, Hai works across platforms such as GAMA (agent-based simulation), Python scripting, and web-based BIM systems to model urban flows, test behavior-based design, and prototype interactive spatial tools.
Previously, he collaborated with the City Science group at MIT Media Lab, contributing to research on data-informed governance, human-centered planning models, and adaptive urban systems.
Today, he continues to build bridges between design, technology, and social justice, describing himself as a “tomorrow-maker grounded in reality.”
