The gate was upgraded to a bi-fold double-panel system for a more open entrance. The lobby was renovated with an accessibility ramp, improving access and creating a cleaner, more organized arrival space.
The Café yard was resurfaced with permeable gravel to improve stormwater drainage. Stone tabletops were replaced with recycled plastic surfaces, while the existing table bases and chairs were retained for continued use instead of being replaced.
smART Cafe was relocated to repurpose previously underutilized space and free up a new area for multipurpose use. This transformation not only improves spatial organization but also reflects the intention to provide more space for community activities.
The Grounding Gardens were redesigned as a space that fosters a physical connection between people and nature through barefoot walking on gravel surfaces, enhancing the campus's human-centered quality and cultural value.
Conventional bins were upgraded into a smart waste management system using AI to sort and monitor waste volumes, while positively influencing users' waste separation habits.
Shaded areas and students' demand for seating were leveraged to transform a former parking space into a seating planter. This space now provides areas for rest and social interaction while serving as a small experimental garden for preserving and cultivating native Vietnamese plant species.
