From January 31 to February 8, 2026, the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM) successfully organized the International Workshop: Sustainable Architectural Design 2026, themed “From Tradition to Sustainability: Environmental Design for Historic and Vernacular Buildings.” The program was held in collaboration with the University of Seville (Spain), one of Europe’s oldest universities, founded in 1505.

Binh My – A New Perspective from the Field Trip

The team of experts from the Institute for Smart City and Management (ISCM), led by Assoc. Prof. Trinh Tu Anh, conducted a field survey in Binh My Commune, Ho Chi Minh City. The trip focused on the riverfront corridor, local canals, and two proposed riverside park projects. Through the survey, the team recorded multiple layers of values interwoven between heritage, culture, ecology, and community, opening up new approaches for sustainable development as well as river tourism connectivity between the northern and southern banks of the Saigon River.

UEH’s Contribution at the Innovation Initiative Forum in Can Tho

On the morning of December 9, 2025, within the framework of the Launching Ceremony for the Week of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of Can Tho City 2025, the Innovation Initiative Forum themed “Can Tho – A Livable City” took place with the participation of city leaders, departments, experts, scientists, and enterprises from the Mekong Delta region.
