ISCM Participates in World IT Show 2026 in Seoul
From April 21–24, the Institute of Smart City and Management, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City participated in the World IT Show 2026, showcasing a highly interactive solution for co-design in architectural and urban projects: Hologram Walk.

Hologram Walk co-creation platform
World IT Show (WIS) is one of Asia’s largest ICT exhibitions, held annually in Seoul, bringing together hundreds of leading technology companies, research institutes, and international universities. The event attracts tens of thousands of visitors, including experts, policymakers, and global enterprises. WIS serves as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, UAVs, immersive technologies, digital infrastructure, and smart city solutions, fostering collaboration, technology transfer, and innovation in the digital era.

Hologram Walk is an interactive platform that integrates hologram technology, computer vision, and game environments. It is designed to enhance communication and consensus-building among stakeholders—including the public sector, private sector, and citizens—within urban co-design processes. The platform is currently being applied in research within the Living Lab model at the UEH Mekong campus (Vĩnh Long Province, Vietnam).
The project is a collaborative effort between the Institute of Smart City and Management, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and the Immersive Content Display Center at Kwangwoon University. Hologram Walk is currently led by PhD Candidate Dr. Do Le Phuc Tam (ISCM lecturer), with team members MSc. Le Phan Truong An, Pham Minh Khoi, and Le Phuc Toan, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Tu Anh, in collaboration with professors at ICDC, Kwangwoon University.

Hologram Walk is positioned as a research-driven solution addressing consensus-building challenges in small-scale urban design projects (1–2 hectares), where community participation plays a critical role. By creating an immersive and interactive environment, the platform facilitates multi-stakeholder engagement, enhances transparency, and empowers citizens in decision-making processes related to smart city solutions.
Participation in World IT Show 2026 not only affirms ISCM’s research and development capabilities in advanced urban technologies but also marks its growing presence in the international academic and innovation ecosystem. This milestone further contributes to translating novel, user-centered smart city solutions into practical applications, ultimately improving quality of life in rapidly urbanizing contexts.
