MSCIM STUDENTS GAIN HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE AT CT GROUP’S DIGITAL HUB 4.0
As part of the course named “Smart Cities and Urban Governance”, students from the Master’s Program in Smart City and Innovation Management (MSCIM) at the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), had the opportunity to participate in a field visit and experiential learning at CT Group’s Digital Hub 4.0 on July 25, 2026.
As one of Vietnam’s leading technology and innovation corporations, CT Group has developed an ecosystem encompassing three traditional sectors: smart cities; transportation, engineering, and logistics infrastructure; and clean food and healthcare. The CT Group is also pioneering a range of strategic technologies and initiatives, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the low-altitude economy (LAE), Digital Twin, robotics-enabled housing, biotechnology, carbon credits, and CT Innovation Hub 4.0. Within this ecosystem, Digital Hub 4.0 serves as a platform connecting research, innovation, and technology demonstration, enabling businesses, experts, and learners to explore technological solutions that are shaping the future of smart cities.
During the visit, Mr. Nguyen Hai Trieu and the National Digital Twin 15 (NDT15) team introduced the students to CT Group’s innovation ecosystem, emerging technology trends, and its development directions for Digital Twin technology, UAVs, the low-altitude economy (LAE), and solutions supporting smart city governance and development. These topics were directly related to the course’s focus on digital infrastructure, data governance, innovation, and sustainable urban development.

In particular, practical examples of UAV applications in transportation, logistics, and urban services, together with CT Group’s plans for developing a Digital Twin platform, gave students valuable exposure to technologies that are transforming urban planning, management, and operations. The discussion also helped them gain a deeper understanding of emerging requirements concerning data, institutional frameworks, human resources, and innovation capacity in the digital transformation process.

The visit not only offered valuable practical insights from a pioneering enterprise but also reaffirmed MSCIM’s educational approach: continuously incorporating emerging technology trends, strengthening industry engagement, and closely integrating academic knowledge with real-world practice. Through this approach, students develop the interdisciplinary capabilities required to address urban challenges in the digital era.
